ROAD MATERIALS LTD
Road Materials Workgear is a well known Dunedin company specialising in work wear and safety gear.
It is wholly owned and operated by Roger and Anne Owen.
Originally the company was founded in 1957 to manufacture and market bitumen emulsion, with the foundation shareholders Eric Lundquist, Septimus Owen, John Owen, Jules Fulton, Bob Hogan, and Ralph Maxwell, who all had strong ties in the roading industry.
The company had the benefit of the expertise of these shareholders and their families for a number of years.
In the 1980's however, with the selling of the bitumen emulsion licence, the emphasis changed from roading materials as such to the supply of clothing and safety equipment.
Some quantities of cold mix asphalt and emulsion were retained for the home handy-man market.
In the 1990's it was decided that Road Materials would work better with an owner/operator so in 1997 Roger and Anne bought out the remaining shareholders.
Today Road Materials supplies a large number of companys throughout New Zealand including Fulton Hogan Ltd, Fulton Hogan Subsidiaries, TNL Group, Tulloch Transport, Envirowaste, Delta, Oceana Gold, and MacMahon Contracting. Our aim is to provide good quality products at reasonable prices with prompt and efficient service for all clothing and safety needs. |

- up to N.Z. HCH standards as required
• To have available a wide range of product (not necessarily shown in catalogue).
• To guarantee supply.
• To deal with returns or swaps with no problems for the customer.
• To store product already branded for quick turnaround and customer convenience.
• To quote competitive prices.
• To provide a product range to cover work, corporate, and special events.
